Vikings’ 4-0 Report ‘Approach Not Anything’ Vs. Jets In London, Says Kevin O’Connell

The Minnesota Vikings continued their impressive start to the season with a dominant 34-10 victory over the New York Jets in London on Sunday. The win improved their record to 4-0, but offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell believes that the team’s approach should be to not get too complacent despite their early success.

O’Connell emphasized the importance of staying focused and not getting ahead of themselves, even as they sit at the top of the NFC North standings. He stressed that the team’s mindset should be to treat each game as if it were their first, and to continue to work hard and improve week after week.

“We can’t get too caught up in our record or how well we’ve played so far,” O’Connell said. “We have to approach each game with the same level of intensity and focus, regardless of who our opponent is.”

The Vikings’ offense has been firing on all cylinders so far this season, with quarterback Kirk Cousins leading the way with his strong play. Against the Jets, Cousins threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns, while running back Dalvin Cook added 115 rushing yards and a touchdown of his own.

But despite their impressive performance, O’Connell believes that there is still room for improvement and that the team can’t afford to become complacent.

“We have a lot of talent on this team, but talent alone isn’t enough to win games,” O’Connell said. “We have to continue to work hard in practice, study our opponents, and execute our game plan on Sundays. That’s the only way we’ll be able to maintain our success and achieve our ultimate goal of winning a championship.”

The Vikings will look to keep their perfect record intact as they head into their bye week before facing the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. With their strong start to the season, the team is certainly on the right track, but as O’Connell stressed, they can’t afford to take their foot off the gas pedal.

“We have a long season ahead of us, and there’s still a lot of work to be done,” O’Connell said. “We have to stay hungry, stay focused, and continue to push ourselves to be the best team we can be. That’s the only way we’ll be able to achieve our goals and bring a championship back to Minnesota.”
